Biography
Children are a top priority for Lara and her practice shows it. Lara has taken her previous experience at the County Attorney's Office handling Child in Need of Care and juvenile offender cases to create a unique take on child custody proceedings. She served over ten years on the USD-457 Board of Education which helps her to put a child's education as a top priority before the Court in any child custody hearing. Lara serves in various capacities on local and state boards advocating for children which gives her a broad perspective of the resources available to her clients in not only child abuse or neglect cases, but her divorce and custody proceedings -- helping to give her clients a leg up.
Her time at the County Attorney's Office has also given her a tremendous background to help you when you find yourself in a situation of being charged with a criminal, traffic or DUI offense. Individuals whom she has formerly prosecuted have sought her assistance to have the person who worked so hard against them to now be working that hard for them.
After graduating from Washburn Law School in 2001, Lara moved to Garden City with her husband, Carl. She served as an Assistant County Attorney from 2001-2010. She went into private practice in 2010 and opened Bors Law in 2011. She and Carl have two sons. When she is not working hard representing her clients, Lara enjoys spending time with her boys and watching them play football, baseball, basketball and anything else they put their mind to which may also include putting a robot or two together.
Lara prides herself in her firm being a "user-friendly" firm. Her goal is to help take the burden off of you with regard to any of the issues that you may be dealing with.
